try to offer Sony 70-200 f/4, Fuji 56mm, Fuji 10-24, Atomos Ninja Blade, Canon 17mm. I end up bought them with BH with 4% cash back. Sure, it is 2% less but i rather cut them out. 10 to 15% then sure, they will earn my business.

Just received a 1DX from them!

I was real apprehensive about putting a credit card number into a website that had no real contact information at all (no address, no phone number, etc). This was violating alot of good sense online shopping rules but, this thread and others got me brave enough to try.

I haven't put it through it's paces yet, but it seems to be in good working order. Newer serial number (avoiding the recall) and current firmware too.

I put in an offer for 1850 yesterday on the 6d kit, didn't really expect that price would work but wanted to see what they would counter with. Got responses within a couple of hours for a counter offer of 2059. So I raised mine to 2000 and someone accepted it. Now I wish I would have only went up to 1950 just to see. Also, only gave them 3 days to accept it.

Everyday use: 7D2, 1.4x v3 Canon TC (sometimes the 2x v2 Canon TC), Canon 500mm f4 L IS USM; 6D, 24-105L

It seems rather uncommon to get action on a re-counter, nice job!

You have to keep in mind that GreenToe has to make money too and every sale that they get, they get a % of that. This in itself of course is not at all a problem since they are providing a valued service.

With that said, in my experience, it's best to go into GreenToe as if you would to a car dealership to buy a car: know exactly what you would be comfortable with paying and be willing to walk away if you can't get that price. Worst case scenario, you can submit another offer later if you decide you can go higher.

I think I've made 4 purchases so far and I've been very satisfied each time so I'd still recommend them highly.

Yep John, $2000 was what I was willing to pay using GreenToe.

Bad part is waiting for the slow shipping, but I could have always paid list price and had 2-day shipping from Amazon so it is worth waiting.

Mickey, I was not aware that a re-counter was uncommon. First time using them, but will be doing it again.

you can email and let Andrew know you want faster. The vendor can let you know the different in price. I've used this method to upgrade to next day delivery.

How many days did you give them and did you do this during the July 4 holiday? I expect some items need a longer time and if it fell during the holiday that may be the reason.
