I purchased a new 5D3 and compared my images when it arrived, and honestly like the details from my old 5Dc better....... is it me or am I missing something. My test shot was ISO 400, 5.6, with my 16-35 lens. I was expecting HUGE differences (with the 5D3 the clear cut winner) but that was not the case. For me I actually liked the old 5D better. I know the 5D3 is FAR better with low light. But my brief test has me thinking about my purchase. I could care less about video. I do shoot weddings so the low light will come in handy but not sure this 5D3 is really worth it. ![]() The 5dc did (and still does) produce some lovely images, but I can't say I was disappointed with the 5d3 when I got that... Files from the 1ds3 are more versatile imho, but the 5d3 is still amazing - I would take a 5d3 over a 5dc every day of the week. You've also got to consider the focus system, which is outstanding in comparison to the 5dc and 5d2. If that isn't a big deal for you personally, maybe save some money and swap it for a 6d?
