Plus, if I wanted to submit the preclaim form, how would I get the seriel number? And is it necessary to submit the preclaim form?

You don't need to submit that.

Hi, I just purchased this deal. Thank you to the OP Mickey.

I am a bit nervous since I have not done one of these type of rebates before. I do not have a printer as of now, so I guess I have to wait till the printer arrives, print my rebate form, fill it out, cut the proof of purchase from the box and mail it all in. correct? Am I missing anything?

I would never hear the end of it if my wife found out I paid $334 for a printer that I could have bought for $34.

Please let me know if I am missing anything. =)

Thank you, Frank

Hi Frank!

I'm glad to hear you have taken the plunge on this printer, it really does kick out fantastic photos.

It sounds like you have the process down, just make sure you cut out the correct prof of purchase tab. The instructions tions on the rebate form will lead you to the one you need.

It took my rebate card almost five weeks to arrive last year, which from what I hear was longer than most waited. The card performed 100%.

Remember, everyone, you can convert the rebate to cash. If they have not changed since Xmas.

I just received my printer today. Adorama stuck a big blue "Adorama" sticker right on top of the UPC and proof of purchase. So far it won't peel off, I am going to try to warm it with a hair dryer.

Thats not good! Why would they do that knowing there is a rebate. I receive mine on Tuesday, I hope it does not have that sticker.

that sucks.
I got mine yesterday and it did not have this, so at least they aren't running around doing it on purpose!

P.S. I got mine with the Rebel t3, and thus 400.00 rebate.
Total cost, for printer, paper, ink, T3, 16GB sandisk extreme SD, Lowepro case, and Adorama cleaning kit, $234.00!!

Well it was...I believe the rebate has expired. I think it was through the end of June. Someone else can confirm that.

You can take a picture of the serial number that's located on the inside of the printer. Canon will accept this. It's what I did (b/c my UPC code and rebate form got lost in the mail).

It just sucks that it is far cheaper to keep buying printers than replacement ink at over $100!
