I saw they have 70D's new for $849

But I thought they were on the "not so up and up" list of retailers. Are they newly Authorized? Or is Authorized not a true guarantee of the retailer? (Or am I mixing them up with someone else and am just confused?)

They've been an authorized dealer for a very long time. Their company name is "Beach Trading Co Inc". They're listed on the authorized dealer list as both their company name, and BUYDIG.COM.

You may be confusing them with BUY.COM (now Rakuten), which is a 3rd-party marketplace with mostly unauthorized dealers.

I have used buydig for small things before when they have a good deal and never had any problems. Never bought a camera or lens or other large ticket item from them however.

This is likely the case. Thanks for clearing it up. I was wary because you can't get a refurb for that price.
