P&S for my wife

So I am looking at a decent point and shoot for my wife - I have looked at the canon S110 and things around the 250 - and less range in cost.
I would like something not completely useless to me also - meaning ability to have decent control over the camera -
Things I know she would like - Easy use & ability to locate features - Decent Zoom/focal length / and WiFi capability for easy sharing of photos - Touch screen would be a nice feature also (hence my looking at a S110)

I have a s100 and love it. If you want wifi, the s110 should be a good choice. My wife likes how easy it is to use and take with us.

Question you have to ask yourself: Would she honestly use it more than her phone when photo ops arise? Sounds like just about all of your qualifications are met with a decent phone app.

I hardly use my P&S anymore because the phones are so good these days. But if she wants the good images with great zoom, the S110 is small and wonderful. It's the camera I buy new college students who travel a lot and want something that is much better than their phones.

While phones are a good option we are also buying for our trip to Disneyland this September - She uses her phone a lot, but the lack of zoom, fast moving kids, fast filled storage, prints ect.

Phones are a good option when needed but I would much rather have something capible of most of what I could throw at it photography wise - again kids & Zoom - also Low light

I'm with Jarvis -- unless your wife has a passion for taking better pictures, a good smartphone is pretty much all people use nowadays. It's nearly made the point-n-shoots obsolete.

Edit: sorry...your last post was being typed as I was typing mine. Since you've outlined that a great point-n-shoot is what she wants/needs, then my vote is for the S110 as well. It's a great camera and a very good value. --Bryan

If it were my wife in question I'd provide her with the information and make it her choice.

If you do get the S110 shooting in RAW will give you a good advantage in processing.

might opt for the sony wx350 - seems like a nice camera. I like the S110 but 20mp is more appealing than 12
