My little hummer is back again this year. She arrived a couple days ago and already has the nest done and laying eggs. I see how many tomorrow.
I think it's neat she came back and that her nest is less than 6 feet from by back door.
I'll keep you guys posted .

How cute! You are very lucky. There nests are so small how did you even see it. Have fun following the progress.

Last year she hit me in the head protecting her nest and had 3 eggs in it. They all hatched and fledged and This year she's back. I posted last years progress here last year if your interested.

Thanks for the reply

That would be an amazing bird to be able to watch so closely. Looking forward to seeing her progress.

Looks like she has forgiven you your last year's trespasses :) Lucky you to have such a close nest.

Nests on a windchime? Amazing. Congrats and well photographed. Looking for more as the cycle progresses.

A couple more.
They both seem to have spider web balls in their mouths. I don't understand why.
And I will apologize for the quality I'm shooting through a double pane storm window and if I get too close mom leaves.
