I am thinking about organizing a meetup to go shoot some creative long exposures somewhere in the Los Angeles area this weekend.

Maybe El Matador state beach, DTLA, or some other area? Anyone interested or have some suggestions?

I'd love to do that but I'm gonna be in San Diego this weekend for a little shoot.

Has anyone visited Angelino Heights? It's near Dodger Stadium and Echo Park in Los Angeles and it is most notable for its Victorian era residences. Here's the link for 1300 carroll ave on Google Maps. It looks like an interesting area to photograph.

great location gene, must show my wife this area, she loves looking at those homes, and to find out that they're in LA would be a shocker.

The city would really depend on if there's clouds, which is looking a bit unlikely as of now. Anything with water or some sort of element that would move would be ideal. The beach by el matador has awesome rocks for log exposures, it's just a mad house on weekends though.

Sorry for some reason I was thinking the city at night and tail light trails. The only other places I know of are San Pedro, Corona del Mar and La Jolla.

lol, bragging rights. That's like a wide/ultrawide angle right? I'de love to revisit 4th/6th again. parking is lame though, have to walk from street to street. Not too bad at night since it's cool.

Let's try and organize something. I think some night cityscapes on a weeknight would be good sometime in the near future. Let's aim to have maybe 10 or so people so we have some decent numbers and make a fun event of it.

Who's down?

It's a wide angle around 21-24mm on a 35mm camera I believe. Will have to see later today just how wide it really is.

Congrats on the new lens Rick.

It's been awhile since I visited the RCFC storm drain project going on nearby (I washed my car and didn't want to get it dirty :D ). These images show the excavation work being done ahead of the construction of the reinforced concrete box.
