My discussions with Andrew indicate that the meter is a guide. It is neither accurate nor absolute. Estimate 10% off and you should be good or you can go 15% and see what happens. Hell, most people who buy used here are looking somewhere around 20%. You're 10% to the good buying through GT if you have to sell it and sometimes better than buying used.

More confirmation that it means nothing. Good to know. Too bad this andrew doesn't frequent this forum.

well it is not like anyone is forcing people to use this site. if they could guarantee a discount on every product they offer, they would put all the big stores out of business (effectively putting greentoe out of business). So put in an offer, if it is not accepted just put in one a little higher. not all offers are going to get a counter offer.

First time trying this. Put up an offer for $315 for a think tank international. Sells for $389. Deal was accepted by Unique Photo. I thought that was a pretty good deal

Love using Greentoe. I purchased a couple of things from them and have always seemed to save at least 10-15% off of retail. Recently got my Think Tank Airport Takeoff from them for $250 from Unique Photo and last week I purchased a Think Tank Retrospective 7 for $115 also fulfilled by Unique Photo.
