Here's a BTS shot I did with my G9. I still love this camera! I had the ST-E2 in the hotshoe. Below the G9 shot is a production shot with the 5DM3.

Yes, there's a shadow. Intended.

Enjoy!

A couple of nice pics... but I should not be viewing them just prior to bed time, :)

They look sharp and clean on my screen. What ISO did you use and were they hand held, or did you use a table tripod? I usually see these types of shots from folks trying to show off their high ISO and a fast lens capabilities. Still like my G9, but haven't been out much with it this winter.

Thanks guys. :)

ISO 100 tripod mounted on this table top rig. Past ISO 200 was a tough place for the G9. :( 80 was better but my shaky hands IS only goes so far. ;)

Nice little table top tripod and the RSS L-bracket (?). I never bought the L-bracket, and have wondered what I'm missing... I often use my Ultra-pod II tripod for those kinds of shots, but having the L-bracket and your tripod looks even better, and more $$$ involved...but, the results are great too.

Thanks Dennis. Yes, a RRS L plate. The table top tripod and bracket has helped tremendously with macro shots. This was a work-around for the noisy ISO when dialed up. Combined with the various noise reduction programs, the G9 continues on. :)

The G9 tagged along with the G15 on this outing, a couple of the shots from that day.

Still waiting for spring to happen here...and for the ice to finally leave the beach areas.

Haven't attempted any real evening shoots with the G9. The sensor becomes far to noisy that I abandoned the thought. Out of curiosity put it on the tripod to get this evening's moon. 2X teleconverter attached.

We had the pleasure of watching Robins build a nest, lay four eggs, watch them hatch, mature, and finally leave the nest over the past month;

I used the Canon 2.0x teleconverter lens and my 430EX II flash for lighting. I was shooting over the railing of our deck down on the nest. All were Jpegs processed in Picasa.
