I finally bought the 17-40mm f/4L. I've been wanting it for a while, and bought it when I bought my 6D.

The only other lens I'd like to add in the foreseeable future is the 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L. I'll probably go the used route on that, as I'm seeing some nice prices on them.

Just shut up and smile...

Tamzooka on order; that will likely be it. If I'm feeling flush at the end of the year, maybe a 200/2.8.

Ended up getting both! The 200/2.8 was perfect with a rented 6D for a gig I was shooting.

Gripped 7D, gripped, full-spectrum modfied T1i (500D), SX50HS, A2E film body, Tamzooka (150-600), Tamron 90mm/2.8 VC (ver 2), Tamron 18-270 VC, Canon FD 100 f/4.0 macro, Canon 24-105 f/4L,Canon EF 200 f/2.8LII, Canon 85 f/1.8, Tamron Adaptall 2 90mmf/2.5 Macro, Tokina 11-16, Canon EX-430 flash, Vivitar DF-383 flash, Astro-Tech AT6RC and Celestron NexStar 102 GT telescopes, various other semi-crappy manual lenses and stuff.

300 f2.8 L cant make my mind up second hand MK1 is or a new MK11 is , is it worth the extra.

Probably not. The Mk2 IS better but the Mk1 is so good that it may not matter too much. I own a Mk1 and yes I would prefer the Mk2 (having tried one) but it is not worth the extra cost to me.

Back to the OP my next purchase will probably be the 600 Mk2 - but only when I have convinced myself that it is better than my 800 F5.6!
