Thanks. It looks like it is now in there. But, still does not show in the pulldown menu in LR.

For Mac and LR5:
You have to put it there:
/ Users / [your username] / Library / Application Support / Adobe / CameraRaw / LensProfiles / 1.0 /

Yep, it's listed there... But not in the pull down menu in LR.

Did you put it in your User Library Folder?
I tried putting it in the normal Library Folder, where all the other profiles are and it didn't show up.

It's a safety feature Apple introduced some time ago.
http://www.macworld.com …-folder-in-mavericks.html (external link)

Open your home folder (/Users/yourusername) in the Finder. Depending on your Finder settings, this may be as easy as simply opening a new Finder window. Otherwise, choose Home from the Finder’s Go menu (Go > Home); or press Shift-Command-H.

Still in the Finder, choose View > Show View Options (or press Command-J).

Near the bottom of the resulting View-Options palette is a setting called Show Library Folder. Enable this option. Your Library folder is immediately visible.

I have the same problem. It installs in the camera rAw lens profile folder and shows up fine in camera raw. But not in LR. LR must pull it's profiles from a different folder.

Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.

Put it in the folder I mentioned earlier and it will work. ;)
(I have no idea why Adobe chose the user Library for manually added profiles...)

OK, I've put it in the HIDDEN Library folder and it still will not show in LR...

Is there a way in LR to POINT to a particular folder full of profiles?

That is weird. I don't have any profiles except the 16-35 f/4L in there...

Try putting it in the Lightroom folder instead of camera raw? I'm a PC guy so I can't see if there is a Lens Profile folder in Lightroom on a Mac.

Thats a good idea... so I opened the LR folder in Application Support (user AND general) and there are no folders for Lens or Camera profiles.

I'm stumped... Ugh.

The pulldown menu in LR is showing a bunch of camera and lens profiles I don't even have in my CameraRaw folder so I'm wondering where it is pulling them from...

Frustrating to say the least.

On my PC here is where the "usm" files as they are listed in LR drop down menu are: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.5\Resources\LensProfiles\1.0\Canon
In that folder here is the file: Canon EOS 5D Mark II (Canon EF 15mm f2.8) - RAW.lcp
Hope that helps.

I got it to work by copying the file in question into the User/Library/..../Lightroom/LensProfiles/1.0/ folder. By itself in there. I think LR gets the rest of its profiles from the .dat file.

Also...

Disney Concert Hall - Downtown Los Angeles.
