great shot, is this a multi/blended shot or one hell of a lucky get?

Either way, nicely done!

Yeah, sitting in the truck listening to the radio was tough work. Lol

This was three images sloppily merged in photoshop.

A CRACKLING thunderstorm was on radar, I saw it moving from NM toward central AZ. I tracked it for several hours and when I thought I knew where it would be headed I drove to a favorite spot with Saguaro cacti... it did not disappoint!

IMAGE: https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3858/14754732462_be54b99694_o.jpg

I shot several setups until the rain and wind hit HARD...

I then drove ahead of the storm into town to a spot where I could overlook the Superstition Front.. as I drove.. BOOOM and a shower of sparks as a bolt struck the telephone pole I was driving past... the wire let loose and hit my cab, marking my windshield and passenger windows!

IMAGE: https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5582/14755041245_d33dcf5c76.jpg

Ears ringing I proceeded to the spot and found a gaggle of photogs all shooting. Bolts started landing all around us... AWESOME! One struck about 100ft in front of my truck.. maybe I was now carrying a charge? LOL

the rain again hit so I headed back toward home about 12 miles away, got about half way there and there was no rain, but some amazing cloud to cloud branch lightning began , so I pulled over again and got a bunch of keepers!

Awesome lightning pics Norm. I had a feeling you'd be out last night for it. I saw how active it was getting while driving home last night.
