I took these on a 5D with an old JC Penney 50/1.8 on an adapter and some tubes. The lens is the least sharp one I own, but as I was playing around with it, I found some interesting things going on with the bokeh.

So now I'm looking for CC on the artistic merit of these photos and input as to where I can go with this little gem as well as where I can get more glass like this.

The bee here is about as close as it resolves.

I have a Zeiss Tessar 50mm that beats it for close focusing and sharpness. It just barely resolves the compound eye on a fly, but the bokeh isn't quite the same.

I like this last tighter shot better.

it seems the POF was a little off on the Bee but good for an amature shot, great Capture on the first but the second..Distortion lasts well beyond the image..
