How much these go for? Right now I am using EF-S 55-250mm with the adapter.

i ordered mine for 420 canadian. i see from another canon forum that there's a co in the us selling them, digitalrev.com, not great reviews in general but from the folks that have ordered one from them its sounds like its legit. they are selling for 410 usd. so with taxes, gst in canada for all provinces and the exchange rate, they are the same price

i cancelled my order with kerrisdale cameras in vancouver since they couldn't get me a firm ship date, and ordered one from digitalrev. i was nervous but guess what, i just received it today, well wrapped, and from the tracking it came out of HK on sunday night west coast time. that was super fast, faster than the uv filter i ordered off amazon. delivered the goods as promised so i can't speak for digitalrev in the past but i'm good with them right now.

Another happy camper, ordered mine from DigitalRev.com. Service and shipping was stellar, impressed so far with the lens. The build quality seems a bit lower than the other lenses, but it looks like the image quality is very high.

I'll post some stuff as soon as I have something other than my bookselves.

Heya,

I didn't bother.

I use the Fotodiox EOS-M <- EF-S/EF adapter ($50) and just use the EF-S 55-250 IS with it. I'd rather not have more `M lenses since they can't be used with anything else. The only `M lens I'm using is the 22mm pancake. I find that once you get any other lens on the `M other than the pancake, it defeats why you got the pancake (compact). So I don't bother with `M lenses. I just use my EF-S/EF line lenses.

Very best,

Looking forward to seeing some pictures. Also can someone take a shot of the lens on the camera along with say 22mm f2 or the 18-55 lens to show the size comparison. Thanks.

i will post pics as soon as my daughter is back from her week long camp. its her m so i can't even test it. i have the adaptor to go with the ef lens and yes it works but its a small camera and a small package so i'd like to keep it small for her.

I'll likely wait for one of these to come up on the used market before I buy. The 180g weight advantage of the EF-M over the EF-S plus adapter doesn't really justify the extra $300.

You can see that on the Camera Size Comparison web site. They now have all four lenses, plus you can see EF and EF-S lenses with the adapter.

The EF-M 55-200STM is tiny.
