Great, I just purchased 2 Rokinons this week already....anyways I don't know if these would be any better than the prices I paid for mine....

Is the 14mm the same as the Rokinon?

They're all the same, under different names; Samyang, Rokinon, Bower, Bell Howell..

So $319 for the 16mm Canon mount. About $80 off. Doesn't include the M mount.

lol...I'll probably selling a mint Rok. 14 2.8 for 290. I suggest anyone interested in buying a manual lens LEARN the characteristics of it before you buy. I didn't know them and now I'm fairly frustrated.

I picked up the 85mm 1.4 off a list member sometime last year. Great lens and an absolutely blast to play around with. It;s a tough lens to use, wide open the DOF is so narrow. However, I think the challenge is one of the things I like about using it. When you nail it...you've got something!

Jam...do you use it in Live view by chance? I'm not sure what the characteristics are with that lens but the 14 2.8 is really hard to use in LV.

I use the viewfinder, although I've read the LV is supposed to be easier. I haven't made things easy my whole life...why start now! :-) I'm shooting mainly portraits with the 85mm.
