The A6000 got backburnered with the arrival of the RX10 and RX100 but I did get some more digiscoping in with the A6000. I'm new to digiscoping but I can already tell the A6000 is mighty fine in that regard:

Still gotta get used to shooting stills with mirrorless especially with the lag of the evf, but I'm getting there. What's a decent small travel tripod for this little sucker that won't break the bank? Doubt I'd bring out my bigger manfrotto pods for this small cam.

lapino Senior Member More info | Sep 14, 2014 04:09 | #157 Aftrer selling my FF setup, I'm very much thinking about getting the Fuji XT1 next to my a6000. Mainly for the nice primes, but the a6000 is a camera I don't see myself selling soon mainly because it performs fantastic for moving kids, the main reason I got it in the first place. Once you get the hang of the AF system and how to setup the tracking, you can get fantastic shots. Some examples here. my youngest (sitting still is something she does NOT do )IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/oTsn9h sisters IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/oR1o7y Elle and her neece (this is with the 24Z) IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/oQZvEH I mainly use the Zeiss 16-70 now, very good lens albeit a bit expensive (but keep an eye on amazon, I got it pretty cheap in a sale). Even the kitlens isn't that bad. http://www.flickr.com/photos/23660915@N07/

I am using 50 1.8 a lot. considering the 35, since it more up my alley in terms of focal length. I have the sigma, 30, but its only a 2.8 My Flickr

For those who have this camera, can you confirm the body material? for $750.00 including lens, hard to believe it is magnesium alloy body. I tried it at the store and it is a lot lighter than my Fujifilm x-t1 - XT1 is magnesium alloy. Cameras: Canon EOS M, FujiFilm X-T1| Lenses: FD 50mm 1.4, Fujinon 23mm 1.4, Fujinon 56 1.2, Zeiss 32mm 1.8
