Cheese and rice. Something is coming soon. They've been offering ridiculous offers for months now.

I've heard from my teacher that the new version is around the corner, hence all the discounts. I'm quite happy with version 7 though, so this is a STEAL!!

Even with a new version around the corner, using the 50% off with AMBROSE code will net 60% off. Getting the software for $134.50 and paying $90-100 to upgrade to the next version is still cheaper than buying the new one at full retail ($300 I'm assuming) which most likely will not be on sale anytime shortly after release.

Plus, you get to use the software now and not have to wait for unannounced stuff with no clue of release date :)

So is it a big improvement over lightroom 4?

It' slightly better in terms of color fine tuning IMO, worse in terms of files management.

Way too better than LR if you are using Fuji Leica Pentax Sony

Downloaded the 60 day trial. BTW, it still is showing a 50% discount. Didn't have much time this morning to work with it. However I noticed that it does not show support for my Tamron 70-300 lens, or any Tamron lenses. Is this just with the trial version?

I don't think tame on lenses have profiles with them. The generic does well though.
