7/10 Very simple and the angle feels natural for the subject taken.

A difficult one I think. I like the sunset itself and everything that's going on with the clouds. In itself the composition is quite nice although I'd like to see the actual dead end in the photograph.

However, the sky does feel rather yellow so I am unsure about the white balance. You'll be able to correct the white balance in post if you want to. Next, the red car to the left definately seems out of focus. I think your aperture was quite large for this shot. I would have chosen something like f/11 or f/13 and used the large DOF.

I'll rate it 6,5 / 10.

Not really sure what you are aiming at here. Shadow side does not attract much interest and light side seems very distant. Much empty space cut in half by the light also gives a slightly bland impression.

Think it would win by creating a focus point for the viewer. Maybe move forward to the left?

5/10

5/10, not exactly a fan of fisheye and I believe this could be shot at a better time of day with less of a tilt to the shot

I cant really argue with you, other than moving forward to the left would force me to take a swim ;). In fact I was going for the contrast between the wooden pier and the modern city, but I was struggling to make much of it. Unfortunately I have to take another holiday to try again...

As for yours, much easier to see what you're going for. There's a symmetry between the... pool? and the skylight and a nice contrast between the modern building and the green plants on the roof. I do think the horizon isn't quite level? 8/10.

I guess we posted at the same time, so I'll just comment without adding a photo.

I like how there's a sort of symmetry with the mountain in the middle and the same sort of mountains left and right. And then there's the sun and nice weather on the right, and lightning on the left.

I would, however, like to see where the lighting actually came from. As it stands, it just appears somehow. Also, my eyes are a bit confused about do I look left or right? So I think its 8/10 from me.

I like that it shows a bit of a story, what they're doing etc. But I'd rather see them from the other side, maybe a bit closer on what they're doing with some background left in for context - 6/10

Not a lot about this picture that is interesting to me. I think the focus and exposure is spot on and the expression isn't bad at all but the lack of shirt and the fact that she ( I am assuming it is a little girl) is just laying on the coach doesn't do much for me. 6/10. If that were a photo of my child then I may see it differently.

Haven't posted much on this board overall, so I might as well get crackin' by jumping in a fascinating thread with fantastic shots.

I really like contrast here, but the lens flare or dust or whatever it is in the top left bothers me a little. As much as like the contrast and light, I'm very curious what kind of color actually might be involved, too.

Still, great composition and contrast. 7.5/10 for me.

Here's my first entry....

I love the sunset, but the only thing in focus (at least that I can tell) are the people in the bottom right hand corner.

I just love the moon at the very top of the water but I wish that was what was in focus, not the people.
7/10

*edit* crap was on the wrong page... I like the above photo a lot I think you nailed the composition and the mood. 8/10 I think with a little more posing you could have got the neck line to make a heart, that would have made it a 10.

Nothing in this picture really jumps out at me and separates itself from a snapshot. Exposure and sharpness are good. I didn't look at the exif data but if this was shot wide open (or close to) then there could have been some real separation from the clutter in the background. Pose isn't anything special but the kid sure is cute. 6/10
