Feeding Frenzy in Monterey Bay

Zillions of anchovies hatched this summer and the marine life has been on a month long feeding frenzy. In addition to these photos, we have witnessed some awesome lunge feeding by the whales but I did not get any photos of it. If anyone can get over there, it is still going on; go on a whale watch out of Moss Landing.

Great timing catching the two whales and spout - I know first hand how tough it is to get them before they dive again. I like the composition of the sea lion shot too.

Great shots Maureen! That must be quite a site to see... what a beautiful shade of blue, the ocean is.
Going to Newfoundland soon, hope to catch some whales... :)
