Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This weeks the theme is Food. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

We all eat food! So show us the Food!...

Here are the rules:
1. Shots need to be taken between Monday posting and the following Monday by Sunset (Whenever that is for you ). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
2. Post your shots at any time during the week.
3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES
That's it! Have fun! As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.
An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it! Have fun!

Food from the backyard. These are immature seed pods from radish plants that bolted. When raw, they taste much like radishes. When cooked, meh.

Thanks, svizzerams. Radish plants flower if they get old enough. Then they make seeds.

More food from the yard, actually still growing: raspberries.

To be honest, I don't like food shots much. In stead of thinking "yummy" I invariably think "yuck," no matter the dish. So I'm glad you started this week's theme with food in its original state, OhLook. These are pretty shots.

John, your salad looks very tasty! I really wouldn't mind digging in. I was more referring to plates full of greasy meat and all that. Brrr... No, this looks very good to me.

Sibil, that's sure enough a well-stocked freezer. John, good-looking salad.

Levina, you can keep your eyes open for these next ones. I don't have greasy meat . . . yet.

Great posts, OhLook!!

Sibil, that is one well stocked freezer. My guys would love it if my freezer was stocked like that. :D

Lovely salad, John. (No yuck factor there. :))

My kids will see to it (with my help, of course) that most of that is gone by the weekend. :D

A sample of what I picked out of our garden today.

IMAGE: http://tjb.smugmug.com/Other/Web/i-W88cB6r/0/XL/8B1C6625-XL.jpg

If I piled on all of the green beans and cherry tomatoes I picked, you would not be able to see the corn, cucumber, bell pepper, french melon, eggplant, and the four larger tomatoes.
