The 40 on a 7D is a very nice travel combo - I used it quite a bit on a recent road trip!

My apologies for not following the rule before about one pic per post - when I found this thread it was by a search looking for info on the lens and I didn't see the thread rule :oops:

Went to a local creek in the forest, the water is very, very low but one of my favorite spots still has water...

I dropped my 40 today!!!!! Glad to report that everything works perfectly and images look as sharp as before....thank god I had the back cap on!

Also got this lens just recently for a road trip to Portugal, wanted to travel light and enjoy myself and holidays with my girlfriend ... really happy camper.
