Took my brand new Tamzooka to the zoo today. Should've seen the look on some people's faces when I whipped this big bad boy out. I could also tell some people were thinking "Is that really necessary?!" as I walked past them holding the lens.

I'm very impressed with the lens. It definitely did not let me down!

Also, no issues whatsoever with AF in AI Servo mode using the 6D.

Here are my best 3 from the day!

If you showed them these pics compared to the shots they got on their cell phones then they would know it was necessary. ;)

Great shots!

All handheld using VC (vibration control). Yes, the 6D handles high ISO very well and the noise disappears completely with post processing. The VC is a little different than the IS on Canon lenses. It seemed to be a little weird at first but I got used to it quickly.

JM,

I think your photo set has the nicest colors I've seen from the 150-600 to date. They look true to life: vivid, yet not over cooked. The Leopard is especially beautiful.

Thanks for taking the time to share they with us.

Wow, thank you so much for the kind words! That means a lot to me hearing that from a fellow photographer.

Very nice. I haven't been too impressed with images that I have seen with this lens...until now! The Jaguar, and Monkey are especially awesome!

Surely it's not the lens with the samples you have judged in the past. I can assure you that this lens is tack sharp and performs very well.
