Anyone have any photos of what it looks like after throwing a diffusion sock over a beauty dish?

Nice picture !
Can't help myself have to say something though.

The shadow of the model going in the opposite direction from the shadow that should have been created by the sun doesn't seem right :p

Thanks!

Yeah, if I had balanced the strobe to match the ambient you probably wouldn't see the shadow but I wanted to bring out the colors in the sky a bit so I underexposed it by about 1/2 - 3/4 of a stop. Metered to about 70% flash contribution compared to the ambient- love my L-358! :D I thought about using a speedlight camera left for a little bit of fill but due to all the smoke in the air and the sun setting we were loosing light fast so I didn't want to loose that much time going back to the car and setting it up.

obviously his strobe has more intensity than the sun.

Its all good, as long as you know what you did and why you did it then its all fine.
There are no rules in photography and you can definitely break them, but as long as you know them. Just wanted to know if you know about the shadow thing :)
