The last images of Ruby-throated Hummingbirds I shared with you included a juvenile male who has pretty much decided that my back deck is the happening place to be. While I still see him getting chased occasionally, he's the predominant bird in the images I've captured over the last month or so. I can't help but cheer for the underdog!

I've seen as many as 3 juvi/females sparring over the feeding rights on my deck. I certainly think he lives up to his name and hopefully will continue being happy enough here to remember the location upon his return next year. Thanks for having a look and leaving behind your thoughts and comments.

I like what I like.
Gear-Canon 1DX2, Canon Eos 7D2, Canon EF 300mm f2.8L IS II USM, EF 100-400 f4.5-5.6L IS II USM, EF100mm f/2.8L IS USM, EF 16-35mm f4L IS USM, Canon EF 70-200 f/4 IS USM. Canon extenders 1.4x & 2x MKIII.

Very much appreciated Red. Multiple setups with #1 shot with the 1DMk4/500mm, #s 6 & 7 shot with the D800/400mm, and remainder with the 1DMk4/300mm. Obviously still testing :)
