WOW, those are incredible. Maybe one day I'll be able to get a Tamzooka. Also I do realize that those images reflect more of what's behind the lens/VF is capable of.

Nice shots,Looks like you got a good one. I rented one last week and was not impressed, Oh it was pretty decent from 150-300 but beyond that it was not good at all.

Thank you both very much! I'm very impressed with this lens. Taking it to Mt. Rainier National Park today/tomorrow. Maybe a black bear will show himself while I'm there.

All very good images, #1 is a bit soft, but considering HH and ISO 8000 and 1/250th I can see why.
nice set.

nice set.

Yes, the exhibit was extremely dark and shaded with heavy overhead foliage. I am extremely happy with how well it turned out and how well the lens performed given the circumstances. Thank you for your feedback! :)

Fine photographs you made there, with a fine lens. Where I live she is nicknamed "Bigron."
Opinions are divided between supporters and opponents. Bought one in september for my better half because a prime is to heavy for her to handle. Just like you I had the opportunity to test it in a kind of naturepark. (Pictures come later.) For sure the lens can not compare with a prime. Which I think is very normal considering the difference in price and luminous intensity... It would be to compare cheese and chalk.
I must say comparing price & quality with some other brands, I am very impressed. It is because her weight an excellent lens for strolling around. When photographing a static object the image stabiliser (VC) does a wonderful job which allows you to go pretty low in shutterspeed, even hendhold. You don't have easy mm's to short but neither to much with this lens.
Since it's my wife her lens I do not use her very often. For this reason, until yet I did not managed to catch a satisfactory bird in flight with the lens...?
In my opinion Tamron has a good reason to be proud.
Wish you many fine moments with the lens.

Marc
