Wow - the Northern Lights - wish I could see them, let alone photograph them as brilliantly as you have here Lauri.

I don't do a lot of portrait stuff but thought I'd share this one from earlier in the year. Right on sunset, not a cloud in the sky so surprisingly harsh and direct lighting.
Been meaning to get into more outdoor portraiture as it's really quite fun.

Very nice capture, I have seen a few of these (or very, very similar) over the last few days and have been unable to get a decent photo of them, more because of their tiny size and of where I have seen them (in bushes) and been unable to get a decent stance to stay stable enough to lock focus, so having tried to get the shot and failed I can appreciate even more the one above, well done mate.

Cheers
Gus

Thnx, Gus!

Great shots all - love seeing this thread when busy...

This below is amazing... you nailed WB and skin tones and great processing. Beautiful model... would have to be careful you didn't get lost in those eyes...;)

Thank you both; she's a fantastic model, hope I get to work with her again some time. That one was probably the most "simple" from the shoot but it really appealed to me. It wasn't her pick though!

Paul.

Nice work Paul, I always enjoy droplets on webs reflecting the light.
Were any extension tubes used for that image?

Thanks m8.

No tubes, just the 100m L IS macro lens this time.
