Charlie wait for the FE version of the 16-35... patience is a virtue.

Now im unsure what to do. Had planned on purchasing the EF 16-35 f/4 & 135L the second my Fuji kit sold but now I see there is Zeiss versions coming out!

How do you think the prices would compare?

This looks like the possible FE roadmap coming up. Filling in the chart above.

According to Thom Hogan (http://www.sansmirror.com …database/sony-nex-lenses/ (external link) ), this is the breakout of the 15 Sony FE lenses to be available by (the end of) 2015:

FE35Z ---- 35mm f/2.8 Zeiss (2013)
FE55Z ----- 55mm f/1.8 Zeiss (2013)
FE2870 ---- 28-70mm OSS (2013)
FE2470Z --- 24-70mm f/4 Zeiss (2013)
FE70200Z --70-200mm f/4 G OSS (2014)
FE1635Z -- 16-35mm f/4 Zeiss OSS (2014) (announced May 1, 2014)
FE85Z ----- 85mm f/1.8 Zeiss OSS (2014)
FE100G ----100mm f/2.8 Macro G (2014)
FE35Z/1.4 - 35mm f/1.4 Zeiss (2014)
FE24Z ---- 24mm f/2 Zeiss (2014)
FE28135G - 28-135mm f/4 G OSS (2015) (announced May 1, 2014)
FE135Z --- 135mm f/2 Zeiss (2015)
FE21Z ----- 21mm f/2.8 Zeiss (2015)
FE35G - 35mm f/2 G OSS (2015) --- (OSS is for Video? - FE G lenses have video in mind)
FE50Z ----- 50mm f/1.2 Zeiss (2015)
Although I find the roadmap comprehensible, there seem to be odd choices.

Assuming Thom is (mostly) correct, then sorted by focal length we will have these lenses:

Primes:

FE21Z
FE24Z
FE35Z, FE35Z/1.4, FE35G
FE50Z
FE55Z
FE85Z
FE100MG
FE135Z
Zooms:

FE1635Z
FE2470Z
FE2870
FE28135G
FE70200Z

buy my sigma 150mm, you will get a portrait lens and a macro lens in one. planning on headshots, it's up for the task. it's very underrated. unlike the 135L, it has OS(IS). Link in my sig.

Considering the 2470 is 1.2k I would expect the 16-35 to be around the same price. The 135 Zeiss around the FE 55 price.

Had my heart set on a 135L for years. I need to give it a go

I want them to produce 16-35 f2.8, i will be in no doubt.

Sony made my plans all changed now, i have to think wisely which lenses to buy, also i feel i don't want to make this camera as a main body for everything, i still see many are complaining about AF even with E mount lenses, so i will keep Canon 1DX until there is a real competitor from Sony for AF.

I hope i can have more reviews about Sony A77-II, because i want higher mp than 1DX and that camera has 12fps, also cropped sensor, so for sports and actions it is better than 1DX, but AF is the only issue, high ISO is all comparable with many new generation cameras so i will not comment about high ISO at all.

I don't have 35mm lens at all as prime, so i will think about Sony version or Sigma, but now i am not sure if i should replace my Canon version with Sony or even Sigma such as: 135L, 85 1.8, 100 2.8 macro, 24-70,...etc.
