Alfredo I love my Sigma 35 Art but if you can give me an FE version at a fraction of the weight sign me up!!! :D

The 35mm Zeiss FE is just as sharp as the Sigma 35 on a 5D3. Plus the contrast, bokeh and colours are if anything better than the Sigma.
Do you really want a big f/1.4 35mm on such a small mirrorless body? It kind of defeats the point! If you want a general purpose 35mm to shoot around the street or for travel, the Zeiss 35mm FE is perfect. It's also far superior to Canon's 40mm pancake.

have to think wisely which lenses to buy, also i feel i don't want to make this camera as a main body for everything, i still see many are complaining about AF even with E mount lenses, so i will keep Canon 1DX until there is a real competitor from Sony for AF.

That's right the A7 is not a replacement for a Canon body, and really who wants to handle a 70-200mm 2.8 zoom lens on a tiny mirrorless body with a small grip?
No what the A7 is is a landscape digital back for a Canon rig. :D

I hope i can have more reviews about Sony A77-II, because i want higher mp than 1DX and that camera has 12fps, also cropped sensor, so for sports and actions it is better than 1DX, but AF is the only issue, high ISO is all comparable with many new generation cameras so i will not comment about high ISO at all.

I would suggest considering the 7D Mark 2 if you already have Canon tele glass. It is promising to be 10FPS.

Well, I can buy another 1DX if i have to, and i have 1D3 which is 10fps, and from my experience, 1 series are the top line for AF in sports, new versions are coming closer or as good as 1 series such as 5D3 or 6D and hope 7D mkII too but still 1 series hold its strength for AF, but if i will go with another camera brand for sports then i want another strong points besides AF only, such as more mp, smaller body weight, also it should be fast fps, looking at A77-II specifications i find that it has everything i need, but i don't know about it's AF speed capability compared to Canon cameras, also not much glasses lines, but definitely i will be happy with 70-200 and 300 2.8 alone for a while.

I already walk around with the Sigma 35 Art  I was the first one on this forum to post shots with it when it released on a 5dmkIII. Too bad the FE 35 2.8 could never be sharp at 1.4 ;) So the Sigma will hold me over. Keep the pancake i want a faster 35 with AF. Everyone gets what they want. Don't assume what you think is right for you is right for all. It makes a fool out of you and me ;)

Cant wait for the FE 16-35 lens! Scooping that up as soon as it is announced! :)

If it is as good as the new Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS, then it could be my first FE-mount lens. Wish they would hurry it up already, I'm so looking forward to it! :)

Have you considered a rangefinder 35mm such as a Leica 35mm 1.4 or a much more affordable Zeiss Biogon f2? These are tiny lenses, and the focus peaking and magification system makes manual focus pretty easy to handle. Works as well as rangefinder manual focusing.

I use a 7D for sports and when the 7D mkII comes out I will look at that and get rid of my 5D3, as I dont think the AF is as good as Canon claims. So hopefully the 7D2 will have a new AF system that works better.
For anything else I have stopped using the 5D3 and just use the A7, even using manual focus lenses, it has made photography intresting again. I have used a Sigma 500mm on the A7 and that works well.

Well, honestly, i really hope there will be a new advanced improved adapter that can retain the AF fast enough, i am willing to buy that adapter to accommodate my Canon or Sigma lenses with great AF then buying many Sony E-mount lenses.
