Saw this cool cloud formation a couple weeks ago and took this pic.
Not terribly happy with how dark the foreground is, but I am not sure how to get around that. Still trying to play with Photoshop Elements. Let me know what you think.

They are showing now. Nice images, and I wouldn't worry too much about the dark foregrounds...except maybe cropping a bit of them out so they don't try and dominate.

There are ways of getting more detail in dark areas like that...if it's there at all in the file. Using the shadows and highlights sliders can help, but the effectiveness rather depends on the overall exposure...sometimes the result can be dramatic, sometimes not. HDR will of course help, but I'm not all that fussed on that process myself.
