If you like sporting kind of shots, you would LOVE the 5D III. Many, MANY professional sports shooters use that camera body if they have a backup to their 1D X (that is the top level sports camera at the moment.)

The depth of field afforded to you with the 5D III will make your sporting shots outstanding from what you're used to with the crop sensor.

I think my budget and lack of serious long lenses precludes me getting the 5DIII :( I looked at the 6D (it's about the same price as the 7D was a few months ago here in the UK :) But I then run into the lack of ability to Spray and Pray (I like to snap jetskis, kite boarders etc). The 7D works brilliantly for those things, but I find it falls down when I want to take more static snaps in poor indoor lighting. I hate flash (I've never really got the hang of it) and that's why I wanted a 7DII with better noise and hopefully a tad more DR. I might just grab a 150-600mm Tamron and keep the 7D :D I might need beta blockers to hold it steady with that combo though

Call me Amanda please :)

How do you know he makes that much? Genuine question.

Not sure if the payroll is correct, but he is certainly getting some big clicks.
Better than Puppy Steve Huff, better than LuLa, short of Ken "growing family" Rockwell.
Yuck.

About half of what they say POTN generates..
The report, like Canon Rumors, is putting out imaginary numbers as fact.
The dollar value is there assumption of the value of the actual traffic. That value is not necesarily realized in either case.

Ta :) I work in TV as a sound engineer and have always thought the trickiest of all the broadcast jobs is lighting (Cameras are instructed where to point, Sound is told what needs to be heard, VT told what to run and record etc). But lighting, it's quite an art

Wow! Are there some ads on this site? I have a host file with hundreds of banned domains, and can't see most advertisement?

Edit: well, I can see a "sponsored links" near the top which means there ARE some ads!

Agree with everyone else. It's the sensor for this camera. I've been holding off getting a used 1DMK4 to see what is going on with this new release. Heck they could release a crop1.6 1Dmk4 clone without the grip and that would be pretty nice.

---------------Camera, Lens, Flash stuff.. but still wanting more

Probably gonna be a kickass AF system! However, I am very happy with my 70D and I would miss the WIFI, touchscreen and especially the flipout screen
