Rob, I think I already told you this over on FB, but I have to say it again -- the colours and clarity of the pebbles in the foreground are just stunning.

One picture from me, taken just around the corner from Rob's shot, taken the same day in the morning. Wish there were some clouds in the sky, but had to suffer through this:

Holy humbugger! Nice shot :)

Roadtripping around the South Island at the moment so haven't really had a chance to post anything, here's one from tonight :)

Thanks! I've been following your pictures as well -- great stuff. If you pass through Ashburton on your trip, give me a shout.

Wow, those are brilliant Fuzz, NCHANT and Rob. It's inspiring me to go out and give it a go.

I see that there is a Mark Gee workshop at Castlepoint in the next few weeks..

Seriously awesome aurora shots! Mikey and Rob, I'm assuming you've stacked the sky -- how many frames? And how do you keep the foreground so clean in terms of noise?

Thanks guys! No stacking all just single shots stitched in Hugin :) I think the lens pays a huge part in the clarity, absolutely love my 24mm :)

I so miss seeing aurorae

A couple from the coast on the south side of Dunedin (Blackhead)1998. The nice reflection in the ocean and the lights of Taieri Mouth on the right side of pic 1.
This was a couple of years before I moved to Sydney.
