Note it's not just about ISO, but a matter of sharpness and detail.

Ah well didnt manage to hold out for the FE 16-35

lol, I might not be able to hold out either, all depends on when my brother asks for it back :p. Anyhow, here are my snapshots from this morning, nearly all in focus, couple a tad off (when peeped).

Anyone sent the A7R to sony for the mount problem? Any feedback on the services and result?

I don't like shooting ISO6400 as most shots suck in bad light anyways. Right now for me it is AF and I am not seeing much sony native glass. I could be totally wrong in that regard. I was able to pick xt1 and 35mm f1.4 for $1350 and it gets me into mirrorless to try out. With Sony it was going to be $1000 more for min.

Yeah I wasn't meaning ISO I was just meaning IQ. Compared to your 5d3 and 6d it will be lacking

if there's lacking on the A7R compared to the 5D3, IMO as a former owner of 5D3, it's only the AF and the ergonomic. In my opinion only, no need for war.... peace.

I'm talking about the Fuji xt1 that Bobbyz bought, sorry creating confusion as it's the sony thread

Do you think there will ever be an EF adapter for the A7/A7R that gives fast focus or is there a technical reason why its not possible?

I cant MF with the 135L no matter how hard I try. Even taking test shots with my wife and she is sitting perfectly still I seem to not get all of them in sharp focus on the eyes

you meant, you can manual focus but you can't nail it? do you use the magnification assist? because peaking is not accurate especially with shallow DOF.

yeah, I just cant nail it consistently (in fact hardly ever). I have not tried the magnifier, is that how you manually focus shallow dof shots?
