update your firmware, it might work and it might not. But I had an issue under windows 8 but as soon as I did the firmware update had no issues. Until one it wouldn't read any cards in it. So I got another one. :D

It worked!

Has anyone here had any experience with using the Hoodman USB 3.0 UDMA Reader? I am considering picking one up and although the reviews are good, I trust this forum/community's opinions.

I have a Kingston attached by a USB3 cable to a Mac. I don't know if it should have an update applied or not - but it's bloody fast right out of the box!

I'm waiting on the reply from lexar themselves. There IT is supposed to trying to figure out the problem. It's sucks because I've heard only good things about lexar but their not showing me the proof

I use a SIIG branded one from Amazon. Bought it several years back and used it with no issues on PC or MacBook. Have a newer MacBook now and it wouldn't connect at all with a CF card in Mavericks. Quick firmware update off of the Sandisk site (SIIG didn't have one, and they're the same chipset anyway) solved the problem. Transfers files really quickly, and accepts just about every format of card out there.

Review this thread if you are running a Mac...https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1397886. Note that a link is there to get the latest firmware.
