I think you should keep them tucked away as an heirloom collection. Or see if any other family members would like to own them.

Mom was quite the looker!

Life is way too short.. go take some photos.

I think it's Rod Steiger, come to think of it. Actor, old school.

Yep, that's definitely Rod Steiger. Great actor.

What a great collection, if you have time you should create an online archive for all to enjoy and appreciate your mother's talent.

This is one of the coolest postings I'v came across on a forum in a long time. This reminds me of the Vivian Maier story, and a book and movie was made on her work.

One of the coolest posts ever. Definitely get these appraised. There are so many celebrity photos floating around, but being in a collection from one place is special. Sounds like you could have easily ended up with a celebrity stepdad. The mother of one of my friends married Rod Laver, who was a regular at La Costa.

Great stuff here. There certainly is a story to be told with these and a book for the collection would make a good method to tie them all together with a timeline and the location. One could even imagine interviewing those that are still alive about the common experience.
This was a time of far fewer photos and limited access to the stars, you just couldn't tweet these people or snap a pic with your cell phone.
Too bad you are not getting along with your sister, a project like this might bring you together but more likely the thought of a big paycheck will drive you apart.
