Very new to flash photography and this forum. This was lit with a SB700 in a 43" Apollo Orb that I got last week. This was about 10 exposures combined in post and took about 4-5 hours in Photoshop to get the finished result. With a bike, it is difficult to "blend" exposures together since there are so many distinct parts with different shadows, as opposed to a car where it's basically one smooth flowing surface. So I added each of the exposures as layers in PS and then masked/erased the parts that I didn't want from each layer. I worked my way up from the base layer this way, erasing what I didn't want from each subsequent layer until I got the image you see. All levels and exposure adjustments were made in Lightroom, PS was only for the masking. Is this what most people do for these types of shots?

Any feedback on what I could do better here, and tips to reduce workflow would be awesome!

That is exactly what I do, and have had good success with it. I really like the final image, great job!

NICE job on it!

Is this what most people do for these types of shots?

Without having flats on location or a studio to work in, it's the best way that I know to do it.

I used the sky behind me in the animation I posted.

These look great! Some of the reflections from the flash are a little distracting. The ones around the left turn signal and on the engine are jumping out at me.
