^Great shot George

Did you decide against the 16-35 f/4 in the end? I thought I had seen a thread where you were considering it at one point

I like the lens, but can't justify the upgrade sine the 17-40L still gets the job done. The money for the upgrade is better spent towards other gear like a new prime and second body!

Fair enough, I was managing to hold off myself until last night when I caved

How are you liking it? I think one day I will make the change especially if Canon doesn't introduce a wide angle 2.8 (new one).

Is this lens worth the $600 at canon refurbish store or should I get the $1200 new 16-35 f4 on a 6d?

It is absolutely worth the price on the Canon refurb site. I did the same thing last year and don't regret it for a second. It is my most used lens, period, on my 6D.

My 16-35 arrived, time to sell the 17-40. Not had a chance to use it yet but took this shot of them side by side.
