So this was my first Air show in many years and my first trying to take decent pictures, took 747 Images over a few hours,

They were taken with my 70D and Sigma 170-500 which I picked up years ago dirt cheap and never really used it much.
Quickly edited in Lightroom and Photoshop with various cropping and reducing of image size to get them to look (i feel) semi decent.
I know there is plenty room for improvement but pleasantly happy with my fist go.

Thanks for looking.

Good detail in all of them. Where in the zoom range of 170-500 did you find yourself taking most of your shots?

nice shots Scott, only recommendation is to slow it down for the prop and rotors to get a nice blur.

Nice shots Scott, reminded me of the years ago when the Prestwick Airshow was a regular event I attended.

So sad that the Vulcan's time is limited.

Thanks for all the comments, really appreciate them

The majority of the shots were between 250 - 300mm on the lens, initially i tried to fill the plane in the view finder and was going all the way up to 500mm, but it looked so soft on the display , eventually I calmed down and started to try and compose the shot better.

In the process of processing more images so will post shortly, still prefer the Vulcan shots though

Great pix.... would use that Sigma 170 - 500 more often. Looks like a good lens.

I had to read it twice as I couldn't see any pictures of a Jumbo.
