Looks good Gene

Guys, the 16-35 FE is coming soon

https://fstoppers.com …lens-36074#comment-thread (external link)

I'll probably stick with Canon's 16-35mm f4, Canon is the master of zooms and given Canon's performance compared to Sony's zooms it's unlikely the FE will be a better lens.

I used to owned a canon 70-200 F4IS and canon 70-200 f2.8 non IS and now the FE70-200/F4 OSS and don't see any difference. When you shoot raw you should care less about colors too since raw won't care about in-cameras picture style. With Sony sensors DR, colors can be popped anyway you want in post.

Maybe i'm so damn i can't spot the difference.

I never tried shooting jpeg with any of those lenses i mentioned though.

Hmm the 70-200 f/4 OSS is a pretty good zoom. The only question mark has been the FE 24-70. So we cant lay verdict just yet on what the FE 16-35 will do quality wise.

it looks ok, good even, but not great. Trails both new canons and tamron. More on the level of the 24-105, making it a midrange zoom rather than high end.

How did you get it so clean? No color smears or much grain too

VINZ,

Beautiful shots with the 70-200. I assume you are happy with it? I am still trying to decide if I want to go for it. Does it focus as quickly as the 55?

Jim
