My first attempts with a dedicated Macro lens

I went ahead and got a Tamron AF 180mm f/3.5 Di SP. Was quite ecstatic upon receiving it. Finally went out and took some shots today. Am now realizing the problem may not have been the absence of a macro lens after all... :)
