I don't see dragonflies very often in my back yard, so I have to grab the camera when I do. Every time this one would land somewhere, my dog would run by and cause it to fly off. On his third landing, I managed to shoot it.

Lovely pic - first one is nicest though. Strange it's got chunks out of the wings as the rest of the wings are still sparkly and relatively fresh looking so makes me wonder if something took a bite from them lol
