It looks like this is the camera I have been waiting for. Pre-ordered at Amazon.com w/ kit lens. BIG upgrade from my 40D.

Has anyone seen a link to the manual PDF?

I think Canon missed the boat with launching the new 7DII with the 400II DO, instead of the 100-400II.

IMHO The new 7DII and 100-400II combo would of sold like hot cakes.

Now we have to wait and see how the two new Sigma's fare.

Two words with regards to the new 7DII....Pre-Ordered. (Never pre ordered before)

I was told the release date is Nov1 by salesman at B&H

You're just going to be unhappy then. Seriously, do you use every feature in your camera now?

People are amazingly self-centered and expect manufacturers to only include the features they would use and exclude all the features they wouldn't. They aren't making cameras for you - they're making them for everyone. And everyone has different needs.

Give me your paypal.

I'll send you the $3 the wifi module costs. ;)

That's cheap. I wonder why the canon GPS module my friend bought for his 5Dii cost him $360.00

Heya,

Fantastic camera for wildlife and sports. Fast. Really robust autofocus with -3EV low light piercing and great ISO performance? I bet it produces CLEAN files at ISO 1600 and ISO 3200, which is exactly what we need, which means with good processing we can make acceptable ISO 6400 and possibly even manage decent ISO 12800 files with good exposure and good processing. Dual DIGIC 6 is awesome. And 10 FPS? It's starting to sound like a 1D series camera in a 5D class body. But at the prosumer price point of $1700.

I want.

Very best,

agree - I already have the 5D3 - and sold my 7d - looking forward to this- BUT - £1600 in UK! Going by today's exchange rate - should be about £1046- now need to find someone going to US this year!

Because they sell hundreds or thousands of them and not hundreds of thousands like the 7DII will undoubtedly be.

It's all in the numbers. Economies of scale.

Think new Canon lenses are overpriced? Lots (and lots) of data will set you free!

For what i've seen in Europe the price is 1700€:

Not bad, i was thinking it would cost 2000€. But frankly is still a bit too expensive for me. My next upgrade will be the 70D. That is if they fix that focus issue.

Wex have listed the 7Dii at £1599 and then state "Claim Upto £250 Cashback, see buying options for further details" .......can't find the details though of the cashback! Perhaps this is tied in with the kit deals.
