Ha, right !

I feel I'm sick and tired of this camera and I probably won't even have mine for at least a couple of months! :)

I've already worn out my shutter and I don't even have it yet.

Yup. Apart from the vastly better AF, the better build quality, the much better ergonomics, the faster frame rate, the larger buffer, the dual cards, the better weather sealing, the better low-light performance, the AE linked to AF point, the 61 AF points, the roads, sewerage, law and order, etc...

What has the 7DII ever done for us?

it doesn't make us coffee

Apologies if this has already been discussed, but does anyone know if the MkII will control the 600RT?

It humors me to no end reading people's responses to a missing feature that has obvious benefits and is quickly becoming a standard feature.

Can we start the Video in an SLR debate again??? :)

They have video in an SLR?

SAVE $920 on the purchase of a EF 24-70MM F/4L IS USM LENS! with a preorder of new 7D mark2. And get a jacket and tablet case and model camera free from Canon Canada. If you were to sell all this it would make for a good return on investment. Rules apply on deal

Sorry, already mentioned.

May be they know that DXOmark will publish a not so nice rating about the sensor ?

Seems like a great camera. I hope it won't have AF inconsistency like the original 7D. I went through 2 copies and they drove me bananas.

I just found this link, but still reading through it all:
http://www.imaginginfinity.com/fullspectrum.html (external link)

To paint it with the broadest brush, you remove the IR cut filter that covers the sensor and either replace it with a different kind of glass, or simply leave it uncovered. The details depend on the camera model.

Gripped 7D, gripped, full-spectrum modfied T1i (500D), SX50HS, A2E film body, Tamzooka (150-600), Tamron 90mm/2.8 VC (ver 2), Tamron 18-270 VC, Canon FD 100 f/4.0 macro, Canon 24-105 f/4L,Canon EF 200 f/2.8LII, Canon 85 f/1.8, Tamron Adaptall 2 90mmf/2.5 Macro, Tokina 11-16, Canon EX-430 flash, Vivitar DF-383 flash, Astro-Tech AT6RC and Celestron NexStar 102 GT telescopes, various other semi-crappy manual lenses and stuff.

Another assumption as we still do not know what the 7D II's sensor is really capable of yet.

It should be pretty obvious that it's not going to match a current FF sensor for low-light, high-ISO noise. Better than the 7D certainly, and probably better than a 70D, but better than the 6D? Unlikely in the extreme.
