Hi, just joined the forum. I'm from deep SE Oklahoma. Here's a couple of shots I've made this year:

Assassin fly: f/8, 1/200

I'm using a Rebel XS. Both shots were made with the 55 mm lens with a screw on close up filter. I can't remember now if I was using +1, +2, or +4.

Looking for feedback. Both of y'all liked #1. What did you not like about #2? No hurt feelings, I'm trying to learn how to be better with the equipment I have.

Welcome to the forum.
Like #1. lovely robber fly capture with good detail showing.
#2 looks a bit washed out (low contrast) with nothing in sharp focus.

Thanks for the replies. Canopic, when you live in SE OK, that is a possibility any time of the day. Humidity is usually high. Go outside and everything fogs over.

Decent shots, especially the robber. Pitty the wasp got fogged up.

Welcome to the forum.
