DEAR CANON

I just wanted to take this opportunity to say 'up yours' I'm moving to NIKON.

I would like to go on record to say that 7D mark II, I waited for almost 1 year is a joke compared to other manufactures, you seriously need to poach engineers from Sony Samsung Nikon. I wish you all the worst for the future.

from the bottom of my heart,
P*** OFF

You haven't even shot with a 7DII yet, how do you know it's a joke?

I guess I'm not sure what features you expected vs. what the camera has on paper. To me, the 7D2 is about what I would have expected in a spec sheet for what it is.

My only piece of advice is to just skip the anger bit. If there's a better camera out there for you, buy it.

When the 5D Mark II and D700 were announced in 2007 or 2008 (or whatever) I was unhappy. I used a 5D at the time and the feature set of the D700 was what I wanted by far over the 5D2. I whined a bit, but in the end I picked up a used 1D Mark III instead, which I wound up loving. So instead of whining, just get whatever the heck will make you happy.

Dear lota420,

Thank your letter. After careful consideration, we realized we still dominate the market and Nikon has nothing to equal our offering. Please don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out. But we do hope it trips you.

Sincerely,
Canon

On paper it has one of the best AF systems available in an SLR (maybe the best). The sensor is the only thing that is lacking (at low iso), but for the market the camera is aimed at it competes well with others in this arena.

Maybe back off of the "420" a bit.

Exactly. A 10fps APS-C body with 65 full-cross AF is not aimed for landscape. For what it's aimed for, it's the best camera available - at least if considering cameras that does have a reasonable set of lenses available.

Bye. I doubt Nikon will live up to unrealistic expectations, either.

Uhhhhmmmmmm, as "bad" as its spec's may appear on paper, I'm sure that the camera will be more than good enough for the skill level of most people on the forum, me and thee included. :)
