I shoot alot of sports with my 6d for lower light indoor basketball , night football, and a lot of low light music my 6d spends alot of time at iso 5000. When I have a ample light I shoot my 60d for the extra reach/crop factor, but as soon as I start losing light, I have to pull out the 6d.

I am totally interested in the 7dmii for its better low light capabilities, new processor, 10fps for sports in low light with that extra reach because of the crop factor. I see a need for both in my arsenal. www.flickr.com/shellisherwood/sets (external link)

It depends entirely on what you shoot... if I were shooting wildlife or fast action I'd for sure trade my 6D for it, but right now I don't and the 6D is killer for portraits.

This thread is irrelevant as Sean ended up picking up a 5D3 in the past 2 years. ;)

Not surprised this thread is bumped since everyone's frantically searching for 7DII topics to put in their $0.02, no matter how irrelevant it is

if you are planning lot of cropping because you donĀ“t currently have telelens, which would be long enough to fill the frame with your subject, take 7DmkII. 1.6 factor gives you a huge advantage in that scenario, especially on higher ISO.

every single % cropped image on FF kills that advantage.

Awesome shots Shelli.I use my 6D for anysport that's low light, fact is I really can't stand my 7D high ISO files after seeing the 6D files.True the 6D isn't a true sports camera but it will do most sports quite well.
