So you're getting true 14mm perspective. My 8mm on my crop gives me close to the same perspective. Sigh, one day I'll be able to afford a FF and I won't lose out on the wide end.

^ Sell 3 of your crop bodies for whatever you get for them, and pick up a 6D. Yes, you'll have to put in some extra cash, but a 6D is great performance for relatively low cost. I can guarantee you'll be able to pick one up for less than $1400 during the holiday season.

my Vizelex ND Throttle has arrived. In case you guys dont remember, it's a variable ND adapter for the 14mm canon mount to sony A7. It works like gel adapters that sit at the mount, but in this case, it's a variable filter.

so far, looks to work, based on indoor testing. It does have a flange distance issue I believe, the distance is a little different from my third party adapter.... or maybe my third party is the wrong distance?

pretty cool that the samyang is now filtered, which boggles my mind. Was thinking of selling this lens in favor of the 16-35 F4 L, but I've been having so much success with this lens, kinda hard to let it go...... now if the ND works well, it'll be impossible to let go......

so... I tested the vizelex ND Throttle, and it WORKS!!!

I have an effective method of filtering this darn lens! it was a concern that the change in flange distance would not allow focus at infinity, but it definitely works when you crank it all the way to infinity!

I might give the TSE 17 a try, but may not be practical on that lens, since no aperture control.

downside is that it's more like a 2-8 stop variable ND filter. I dont think it goes to 10, but hell, any bit of filtering on this lens and I'm a happy camper. The cast isnt that bad, no worse than the lee big stopper, and easily fixable. I may skip the 16-35 stud of a lens now..... wow.

going shooting this weekend, gotta try this out.
