While this ought to work fine, I don't understand why you'd combine those. It removes one of the core bonuses to the Capture system; having access to the tripod mount without having to unscrew anything. Is there something in particular you're trying to accomplish that either system alone doesn't do?

Some people just prefer the way the camera hangs when the strap is connected to the tripod socket.

But, then, why bother with the Leash? or, why not have the plate on the bottom w/ an anchor on it and connect the Leash that way?

This seems an expensive way to reach the same result as simply sticking with the BR to begin with. I feel like I'm missing something in the original question.

i dont always need to use the BR strap with the camera, but at those times i would still like to have something to secure my camera to me. i've wanted a handstrap for a while, but most require a grip or a tripod plate. i dont have a grip, and didnt want to use a tripod plate as i would constantly have to remove the plate to screw in the BR fastener.

i was excited to see the clutch because i could have my BR fastener screwed in, and at the same time have the ability to quickly attach a hand strap to the camera. personal preferences i guess.

Have you considered paracord wrist strap? Costs hardly anything and does the job.

So, in your original picture, the thing that is clipped onto the anchor is the clip for the Clutch? If so, that's the part I missed.

Given that and your original worry about the edges of the BR screw, did you check out PD's offering for exactly that combo?

yup, the anchor link is currently tied into the BR fastnr. i saw the Prodrive screw, i may still go that route (i mention it few posts back, where you can replace the screw on the PD plate with the prodrive, this way you have a tripod plate, an anchor link, and a loop for the BR strap... very versatile solution)
