I don't find my 40d to create images that look anything like the 5d. To me they have the same feeling as any dslr.

^ Same here. I went from a 40D to a 5D and the images from the 5D are in a different league. There's no comparison with the 40D.

Sorry if I was unclear. I was not comparing the images from a 40D to those from a 5Dc. I was saying that ''in my opinion'' the 5Dc and The 40D were the last Canon bodies who's sensors produced ''film like'' images.

Yes, like modern Kodak Gold 400 film, in terms of colors

Way too many cameras, lenses, tripods, and bags (especially bags, where did all these bags come from?)

This makes me curious (as I have no experience with the 5Dc). Did anybody who upgraded to the later models (or added them) find that they lost something?

Some hace mentioned it. Personally I never felt that way. It takes a bit of adjustment to get used to the huge files (comparatively) from the 5DII and if your computer or software isnt ready for the upgrade that can be an issue. The main complaint I heard was that the 5D is more filmlike and that the 5DII was more digital in look, probably due to the weaker AA filter and the less pixel density in the 5D. Also the 5D noise seems a bit more like film grain.

...thinking about picking up a copy, is $500 a good price for a body that's been cleaned with 22k actuations?

Thanks

I'd say that's pretty fair for price in my area. I wouldn't mind having another one with only 22k on it.

Hey guys I'm in a debate if I wanna get the 5d classic and ditch my t3i. If I did I would use the 50mm 1.8 for a while so could I get some shots of that combo please ?

My camera is a part of my body only nicer...
