I had to bargain with them to stay still by offering up several rounds of Ninja, sleepy lions and tickle monster. I wish I were half as good at driving a bargain! I also had to settle for either a blank face or a silly face. Smiles cost more.

I'm pretty sure they were all shot f1.8

Linked to the series above. I found that challenging kids to climb something was a lot more effective than telling them to.

Saw the potential for some bokeh circles this morning before heading to work so i grabbed the 85mm.
It was struggling to hit focus correctly with the sun right behind it like that so i had to focus manually in live view so I could be sure to nail the droplet.

Really impressed with this lens wide open. I find it sometimes misses and sometimes gets it but when it gets it it is sharp as anything even wide open.

Really like the PP on this one, and beautiful light. What was the technique if I may ask?

Thanks :-)
Nothing major, I warmed it up a bit as the white balance got a bit thrown, and did that clipped blacks trick in the curves to smooth it out a bit. Added some contrast to make the bokeh pop and then tried to dampen down the areas where the sun got through the leaves and over exposed the cat's face. Finally I added a brush with higher exposure and clarity to the eyes which make the detail of the eyes really come out without looking like a zombie or completely unrealistic.

The rest was all the lens and the natural light.
