Makes things so much easier with using the TS-E handheld. vinmunoz wrote in post #17183245 wow super sharp. popping colors. did you used tripod on those? Thanks! Tripods are frequently forbidden in public interior spaces, so I just shot all handheld. I used the widest aperture on the second one, rested the camera on a railing for the third, and underexposed on the fourth as varying strategies for getting sharp shots. xpfloyd wrote in post #17183309 Stunning shots david Thanks! I'm usually occupied with getting the verticals true by using the shift and tilt is only a secondary manipulation in order to keep most of the building/wall plane in focus. This really is an eye-opening shot.

I wanted to do a couple of things with that shot: 1. shoot wide-open at f/3.5 to minimize shutter speed (and lower ISO), 2. draw a continuous plane of focus that extends from the lower stair up to the upper balcony railing.
